born to be a loser

Talents do not exist; they are pre-defined at birth by social markers:

Society’s markers of success are economic and social, heavily marked by a cult of grandeur:

Meanwhile, an individual in a less valued, precarious, or artistic profession is seen as a failure. Being a garbage collector is viewed as failure; being a trader is seen as success.

Yet, life’s success is not determined by a career.

An important question would be: are these two individuals happy in their lives?

We can hold a devalued job but still be fulfilled, culturally and intellectually rich.

We primarily define ourselves by our work, even though we are more than just a job title. We also have hobbies, ideas, beliefs, and passions. That is what we should focus on who we truly are, not how we earn a living.

We can aspire to a great career, fail at it, but that doesn’t mean we fail at life.

True success is being fulfilled in life. ✷
